About the Winter School

Organic electronics is a novel research area, which embraces fundamental and applied science as well as engineering. Outstanding new discoveries in this field are constantly leading to fascinating applications. Since the discovery in 1977 of conducting polymers, the global market for organic electronics is increasing rapidly.
The objective of this winter school is to bring together researchers from academia and industry in order to exchange ideas and knowledge in the field of organic electronics.
The school takes place in the framework of the excellence cluster Forum Organic Electronics. This activity is funded by the Ministry of Education and Research. It involves 26 enterprises, universities and research centers in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region.
